Biography:

Josie Krieger is a fourth year student at Penn State studying History and Economics with minors in Jewish Studies and Middle East Studies. Josie has led our social media outreach and website development/engagement for several semesters.

Josie has studied in Bosnia and Herzegovina through the Kennedy-Lugar YES Abroad Scholarship, Azerbaijan through the Critical Language Scholarship (Turkish), and has been awarded the Boren Scholarship for Croatian. In the summer of 2020, Josie was a research assistant for Dr. Yael Warshel in The Rock Ethics Institute's Children,Youth and Media in International and Global Conflict Zones lab. During the summer of 2021, Josie served as a refugee case manager through AmeriCorps with Catholic Charities of North East Kansas.

When Josie is not looking for new books to read, she enjoys trail running, rock climbing, and drinking lots of coffee at Rothrock Cafe.
