Embedded Courses

The Jewish Studies Program also offers what here at Penn State we call “Embedded Courses”; these are short, intensive educational trips, run in conjunction with a standard class, often over Spring Break or Thanksgiving or shortly after the conclusion of the semester, that students can take for an extra credit. Professor Ann Killebrew offers one of these to Israel in conjunction with some of her courses, and Professors Tobias Brinkmann and Eliyana Adler are developing an embedded course to Poland and Germany to be run in conjunction with our Holocaust courses. More embedded courses are in the planning stages. Embedded courses will be advertised as they are run, and the Jewish Studies Program can often offer interested students financial support.
