Biography:

Zaryab Iqbal is a political scientist and her primary research and teaching interests are in international conflict and security, specifically questions related to state failure, political instability, genocide, and human security. She is the author of War and the Health of Nations and State Failure in the Modern World (Stanford University Press). Her other work has been published in a number of journals, including the Journal of Politics, Journal of Conflict Resolution, and International Studies Quarterly. She has served as Administrative Fellow in the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost, Vice-President of the International Studies Association, and as a Program Director at the National Science Foundation.
